Level365 Partners with Lacy School of Business

Level365 is pleased to announce that it is working with the Lacy School of Business at Butler University in the Spring of 2019. Students will do research designed to conduct a market study project on the trends and requirements of modern business communications. The project will also help Level365 understand the business needs of our clients and provide better overall service. The results will be published on the Level365 website.

Read below for more information about the Lacy School of Business and this consulting project.

Lacy School of Business: Real-Life Experience

One differentiator for Lacy School of Business students compared to other business schools is the real-world experience Butler offers outside of traditional classroom work. There are several ways students get this experience, including consulting projects like this one with Level365. Below are a few other examples of student’s real-life experiences at Butler University.

Two Internships:

Lacy School of Business requires students to complete two paid internships. These internships provide students the chance to apply what they’ve learned. Additionally, they acquire real-work experience that builds their interview skills and resume and sets them apart from other graduates after college.

Career Mentor:

Students also have a Career Mentor throughout their time at Butler. These mentors are former executives who have worked at prominent companies, including Cummins, Anthem, Roche, and IBM. Career mentors help students discover career paths and interests—and how to structure their time at Butler to meet their goals.

Real Business Experience (RBE):

The RBE provides students the opportunity to create and run their own businesses. Students form teams, develop business ideas, apply for funding, and start and run their own businesses. The school also provides an experienced team of faculty and professional mentors to help coach and consult students.

Consulting With Level365: Learning Beyond The Classroom

In addition to the above examples, many classes at Butler University’s Lacy School of Business incorporate real-world experience. One such class is Professor Daniel McQuiston’s Strategic Marketing & Management class. This class is the capstone marketing class that all Senior marketing majors complete. At this point in their academic careers, students are looking toward the next steps in their career. This makes them best suited to engage in experiential education rather than traditional classroom work. This course provides students another opportunity to apply what they have learned in the classroom in the real world.

As part of the project, a team of four Senior Marketing students is leading a consulting project. They will focus on providing Level365 with information, insight, and research to provide better overall service and to identify needs and trends in modern business communications. The students put together a Statement Of Work (SOW) and are working on this project similarly to how a consulting engagement would work in today’s business environment.

Level365’s History With Butler University

When Professor Daniel McQuiston reached out to Level365 about this opportunity, there was no hesitation in participating. This is an excellent opportunity to help provide students with real-life business experience and also receive valuable feedback. Level365 currently works with the Lacy School of Business to provide real-world experience through their student intern placement program, as well as providing business mentorship through participation in specific sales and marketing business courses.

This consulting project is a win-win for both the students and Level365. Students are given hands-on, real-life experience, and Level365 benefits from a fresh perspective, a willingness to learn, and new ideas. We look forward to the results as well as further engagement with Butler’s Lacy School of Business. We hope to continue with these types of projects and host interns at our company.
